I’m an Electrical Engineering student from upstate South Carolina, currently at Bob Jones University, with graduation approaching. My interest in computers and electricity led me to this field, where I’m eager to explore technology.
In my freshman year, I led a balloon mission project, achieving a unique accomplishment: capturing complete footage of the balloon’s ascent and descent with a successful automated release. This experience strengthened my engineering skills and passion.
Last summer, I gained hands-on experience at Harper, where I helped build the electrical department. I created training materials, including a course called "GET it," and developed tools like a conduit fill calculator and a wire length calculator.
I aim to become an engineer and project estimator for a construction company, focusing on public utilities and large-scale power management.
Outside of school and work, I enjoy personal projects that test my problem-solving skills. Currently, I’m building a shed from reclaimed wood and designing a car-mounted hammock stand for versatile camping. These projects let me apply my skills in electrical work, welding, and carpentry.
I take pride in my work, whether using SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or other tools. I’m dedicated to delivering high-quality results that showcase my expertise.
I’ve created two tools: the Wire Resistance Length Calculator and the Conduit Fill Calculator. The Wire Resistance Length Calculator helps measure the resistance of wire on a spool and provides an accurate length reading. The Conduit Fill Calculator uses measurements of cable and conduit areas, applying the 40% rule from the NEC handbook to determine if the conduit can safely accommodate the number of conductors inside.
